Smart-Select

What is it

Double-click selection typically highlights an individual word; semantic selection, however, extends the definition of a word so that it's not delimited by whitespace or some punctuation marks. This enables easily selecting URLs, IP addresses, etc. With smart-selection, you no longer need to drag the mouse when highlighting common patterns (listed below).

How to access it

Double-click on some text in the app. The following patterns are recognized:

1. URLs

2. File paths

3. Email addresses

4. IP addresses

5. Floating point numbers, including scientific notation.

You can enable and disable this feature in the Settings > Features page.

If disabled, you can instead manually select specfic punctuation characters to be included within word boundaries.
